Why should I become a member?
Glad you asked! As the world's largest professional network for product people, we're using our connections and your feedback to take our community to the next level. Through our membership, we'll be delivering new ways for you to level up your career, build better products, and lead successful product teams. To understand why we started Mind the Product membership and how you can benefit from it, read our blog post Introducing Mind the Product Membership.
Why are you charging for membership?
Historically, we've been able to provide a lot of great content for free as it's been supported by our community, and paid for by our conferences, sponsors, and in-person training. But we've always wanted to be able to dive even deeper into topics that help us to improve our craft, a process that takes time and effort. As product people, we want to tie that effort directly to the value we create for you and your career through a membership program that puts you at the centre of what we create.
Do I have to have a membership to contribute content?
You do not need to be a member to contribute content to Mind the Product. We welcome contributions from everyone in the product community!
If I contribute content as a guest author, will it be for everyone or only members?
If you are a guest author we want to ensure that your content is available to everyone in our community. For that reason, it will be published on the blog for all to see! You can find updated information about contributing content to Mind the Product on our Write for Us! page.
Why do I need to apply for Leader membership and what does application entail?
Our MTP Leader membership is exclusively for product leaders (Directors, VPs, CPOs or higher). By asking you to apply, we can ensure that we can connect you with your leadership peers, facilitate appropriate events for your level and experience, and provide the leadership-focused content that's right for you.
Application is straightforward: when you click 'Apply’, you will be asked to provide some details about your current role and experience in a quick questionnaire. We'll aim to respond to all applications within a few days. If you're successful you'll receive an email with further details and a link to the checkout so that you can complete your purchase.
If you're already a member of our existing Product's Leadership Program you will not need to apply for MTP Leader membership. Just drop us a line at membership@mindtheproduct.com and we’ll send you a pre-approved sign-up link.
Please note: our existing Leadership Program is in the process of being retired. The benefits of this free program, along with many more new ones, will feature in our new MTP Leader membership for paying members.
What is available to me if I don't want to pay for membership?
For those who don't want to take out membership, we will continue to provide free content to the community including:
- Guest-authored blog posts
- The Product Experience podcast
- ProductTank events, videos and write-ups
- Product job postings

What is an AMA?
Our 'Ask Me Anything' sessions give Prioritised and MTP Leader members the opportunity to interact with top product leaders on a regular basis. If you need insight on a product problem, or just have a burning question to ask one of our guests, join us! These sessions are hosted by Mind the Product Co-Founder, Martin Eriksson and Chief of Staff, Emily Tate and each one lasts for 1 hour. See what’s coming up for members.
What is a Panel?
Our live panels are a great way to hear from a number of expert product leaders in one fell swoop! Panels are usually focused on one topic and we'll bring together 3-4 relevant product people to discuss. Panels typically have discussion led by a moderator, with Q&A from attending members (that's you!) toward the end. Our panels last for 1 hour. See what’s coming up for members.
What is a Virtual Roundtable?
Our virtual roundtables give Prioritised and MTP Leader members the opportunity to gather online and take part in themed discussion on various product topics. These sessions will enable you to network, learn, and benefit from the shared knowledge and experience of the group - and all from the comfort of your home or office. Each roundtable will last for one hour and you'll be broken out into small groups of 3-4 (chosen randomly using Zoom breakout rooms) to discuss the day's topic. See what’s coming up for members.
Are member events recorded?
All regular member events (with the exception of Virtual Roundtables) are recorded and added and made available to Prioritised and MTP Leader members within a few days, so don't worry if you can't make it to every live session. We do, however, encourage you to attend as many sessions as you can so that you can get the most out of the experience - since a lot of our online events are interactive, you'll find them more valuable if you take the time to attend.
What is Self-Paced Training?
Our online, self-paced training modules are designed to teach you the core skills that every product manager should have. Through video tutorials and interactive activities, we will take you through key product management concepts and frameworks, and provide you with actionable tips and tricks to help you master the skills you need to excel in your craft. As you work your way through our self-paced training modules, you’ll gain the confidence you need to lead more effectively, find solutions to problems with ease, and ultimately to build better products!
How is Self-Paced Training different from your remote workshops?
Self-Paced Training allows you to work your way through each module in a timeframe that suits you. Our video tutorials and interactive activities allow you to work at your own pace, taking the time you need to absorb the information and, for as long as you’re a Prioritised member or an MTP Leader, you can return to the training modules again and again to check details, use our resources, and really make the learning stick.
Our interactive, remote workshops are run across two half-days, are led live by a dedicated trainer, and take place on Zoom with a classroom of other product people. Our remote workshops are not included in the price of membership and are charged individually.
Each format is fantastic and simply lend themselves to different working styles and situations.
